Dr. Theogarajan is a professor of Electrical & Computer Engineering and the director of the Biomimetic Circuits & Nanosystems Group. Dr. Theogarajan combines electronics, synthetic chemistry and molecular biology to create new prosthetic devices and nanoscale sensors of biological activity. His group is engineering novel strategies tor record neural activity with minimally invasive, high-density, low-power devices. Training & awards: An NSF Career Award and NIH New Innovator Award winner, Dr. Theogarajan has also won the Northrupp Grumman Excellence in Teaching award. Before starting his PhD in Electrical Engineering & Computer Science at MIT, he was a member of the Pentium 4 design team at Intel.
